Pop's Stash
Privacy Policy
Effective 28 August 2026
Pop's Stash does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app has no servers. Your collection stays on your iPhone.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter is written to a private database inside the app on your own device:
- Bottles, releases, quantities, purchase details, notes, and scores
- Your wishlist and your scan history
- Photographs you take or choose for a bottle
None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it, and we have no way to retrieve it.
Camera and photo access
The app asks for camera access only so you can scan a barcode or photograph a label, and for photo access only so you can choose a picture you already have. Images are processed on your device and saved inside the app. They are never uploaded.
Things that involve other services — always your choice
- Your iCloud backup. Because the app's data lives in your device's storage, it is included in your iPhone backup if you have iCloud Backup switched on. That is Apple's service under your Apple Account, not ours, and we have no access to it.
- Saving photographs to Photos. If you turn this on, or tap the action on a photograph, the app writes copies into your own Photos library. It can only add to your library; it cannot read it.
- Exporting a backup. When you export your catalog, iOS asks where to send the file, and it goes wherever you choose. Nothing is sent automatically.
Beta testing
While the app is distributed through Apple's TestFlight, Apple provides us with installation and crash information, and any feedback you deliberately send through TestFlight reaches us along with your email address. That is Apple's system; see Apple's privacy policy for how TestFlight handles it.
Children
Pop's Stash is a catalog for adult collectors and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
